Miroslav Maletici

Since February 2026 I have worked as a Software Firmware Engineer at Axon in Timișoara. I write embedded firmware in C/C++ for connected public-safety devices, across the Linux-based build toolchain, drivers and hardware abstraction layers.

I also teach the Computer Architecture labs at UPT, as a teaching assistant.

This is the layer I started from. My bachelor’s at the Faculty of Automation and Computers, from 2022 to 2026, went through embedded systems, microcontrollers and C.

In 2023 I took Synopsys’ training “Defending and Security in C++”. In 2024 I took part in Bitdefender’s programme “AI – Hunting malware the smart way”: machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, anomaly detection and genetic algorithms, applied to malware.

From July 2024 to January 2025 I worked there as a Junior Security Researcher, part-time and remote. I built an AI model that reduced false positives in malware detection, with a 97% success rate, by analysing contextual cues in suspicious messages together with SMS link metadata.

I also built a cloud service that summarises Google Play reviews and app descriptions with a LLaMA-based model, with sentiment scores, so threats can be triaged from data.

I learned software engineering at Nokia in Timișoara: a programme in 2023, then an internship in the MCTRL team, on the BTS processor, from 2023 to 2024, and C++ components for mobile network products from 2025 to 2026.

I have taught since 2024: weekly Python classes at Algorithmics, and Docker and Kubernetes for Liga AC Labs and UPT’s Cloud Master programme. From 2024 to 2026 the education side of my company, WiseLearning, ran two e-learning platforms and computer science courses, and I still give private computer science lessons.

Two Solemtrix products have shipped. StrawBoss, which traces biomass bale by bale, is in production at one farm in Banat. ADMINISTRATIVO, attendance, leave, payroll and the rest of HR and operations for companies with 5–50 employees, is published at administrativo.ro.

In July 2026 I started a master’s in Artificial Intelligence at UPT. Most of my AI work is computer vision and agents that run next to sensors, cameras and motors.

My bachelor’s thesis, SeraFullAutonoma, is a greenhouse run by CrewAI agents, with computer vision for plant diseases and a local voice assistant. At DeepTech GigaHack 2026 I worked on the computer vision pipeline, the U-Net and the route solver for our vineyard platform.

At Solemtrix we build SolCane, a smart white cane for blind people, and I write all of its software, its architecture and its machine learning. It feels obstacles, recognises people, reads text and takes voice commands in Romanian. In October 2026 it won first place at the Consolid8 social innovation hackathon.
